China News Service, Wenzhou, September 21 (Zhou Jian) - 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the "abolition of county and establishment of city" in Yueqing City, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Over the past 30 years, this once remote agricultural county has transformed into a strong industrial city, a major economic hub, and one of the top 100 counties and cities in China. Today, this southeast coastal city boasts a "golden business card" that is renowned both domestically and internationally - "Capital of Electrical Appliances in China". There are over 14,000 enterprises clustered in the electrical industry here, including 1,195 enterprises above designated size. The electrical industry has been approved as a national advanced manufacturing industry cluster.

On September 20th, the People's Government of Yueqing City held a press conference, announcing that the city will host the 23rd China Electrical Appliance Culture Festival and Yandang Mountain Digital Economy Summit from November 7th to November 9th.

In recent years, Yueqing has focused on enhancing the entire chain of the intelligent electrical industry, continuously activating the innovation ecosystem of industrial clusters, steadily consolidating the core advantages of the entire industry chain, and vigorously promoting the high-quality development of the electrical industry clusters. According to statistics, in 2022, the total industrial output value of the electrical industry in the city exceeded 150 billion yuan, and the total output value of above-scale industries reached 105.03 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 2.86%. Low-voltage electrical products accounted for over 65% of the national market share.

"This event will fully showcase the achievements of Yueqing's national advanced manufacturing cluster in the electrical industry, promote the application of high and new technologies, vigorously facilitate trade negotiations, product procurement, and investment cooperation, deeply empower the digital transformation of the electrical industry cluster, and continuously promote the cultivation and building of a world-class advanced intelligent electrical industry cluster," said Ye Xufeng, member of the Standing Committee of the Yueqing Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor, at the press conference. The event will also fully demonstrate the unique charm of Yueqing culture, vigorously promote the "Wenzhou Private Entrepreneur Festival" and the "Two Health" culture, and inspire the vast number of private enterprises to be confident, self-reliant, and grow stronger.

Reporters learned from the press conference that the 23rd China Electrical Appliances Culture Festival and Yandang Mountain Digital Economy Summit featured a series of "1+1+3+X" activities, including one opening ceremony main forum, one international electrical products exposition, three sub-forums, and several thematic activities.

During the International Electrical Products Exposition, various activities such as ordering conferences (marketing conferences) for leading enterprises, new product launches for enterprises, and strategic cooperation invitation and promotion meetings will be held, presenting internationalization, diversification, technological advancement, new themes, and other distinctive highlights.

Relevant officials from the Yueqing Municipal Bureau of Commerce introduced at the press conference that compared to previous expositions, this edition has seen an increase in the number of overseas buyers, overseas Chinese, business representative offices stationed abroad, and foreign government delegations attending the exhibition. Additionally, a foreign trade industry chain exhibition area has been added, which focuses on launching promotions for overseas market expansion exhibitions of foreign trade enterprises, comprehensive foreign trade service platforms, cross-border e-commerce platforms, etc., to serve and support enterprises in expanding their markets overseas.

It is also reported that the Yandang Mountain Digital Economy Summit, held for the first time this year, will leverage the China Electrical Appliance Culture Festival to invite a group of experts to deliver keynote speeches, launch a batch of service platforms, sign a number of cooperation projects, and achieve a series of landmark outcomes.
